Train at Professional Athletic Facilities
No matter what sport your teen enjoys, we’re committed to providing top-tier facilities and coaching.
This summer, our athletes will work out at Joe Gibbs Racing, using the weight room, the turf field, and the Human Performance Institute, typically reserved for the analysis and personal training of professional athletes.
By the fall, our gymnasium and weight room on campus will be renovated and ready to open. Next, we’ll work on adding turf fields to our 28-acre campus.
Meet Our Director of Athletics
Jay Poag
Athletic Director + Head Football Coach
Jay comes to ACS with over 30 years of coaching experience at both the college and high school level. A Davidson College four-year football letterman (‘87), he has had coaching stops at NC State, Lenoir-Rhyne, Presbyterian College, and Davidson. Most recently, he served as dean of students and head football coach at Christian Heritage School in Dalton, GA, where his teams qualified for the state playoffs five years in a row. He was named the Georgia region Coach of the Year in 2020 after leading his squad to an 11-1 record and the school’s first region championship.
