Student Life
Discover a vibrant, Christ-centered community where students are given meaningful opportunities to belong.
When you think about the kind of school environment you want for your teen, you’re likely weighing more than activities or events. You’re asking deeper questions: Will my teen feel connected here? Will they be engaged? Will they have a place to discover their God-given gifts?
At Ambassador Christian School, we’ve intentionally designed the student life experience so that high schoolers are invited into a community where their voices and presence matter. With built-in time for connection, meaningful opportunities, and a culture rooted in relationships, your teen will experience a sense of belonging that carries them confidently into what’s ahead.
Explore Student Life at Ambassador Christian School
Student life at Ambassador begins with relationships. Here, students are known and trusted, given wide pastures with high fences that provide freedom within structure. We believe these four years of high school are preparation for the next forty.
Athletics & Arts

Honoring God on the field
Athletics are an extension of our commitment to excellence at Ambassador. As a private Christian school, ACS competes at a high level, while maintaining the close-knit community families value. Students are challenged to grow in discipline and teamwork, all within a Christ-centered culture that emphasizes servant leadership.
Families who visit quickly recognize the energy and pride surrounding our athletic programs. From practice to game day, our teams reflect the heart of our school: unified and grounded in purpose.
Cultivating creative gifts
The arts at Ambassador provide a space for students to develop their God-given gifts. Drawing and painting, mixed-media arts, yearbook, theater, and a range of industrial arts offerings give students opportunities to explore and refine their God-given gifts within a supportive community. From culinary arts and home and auto projects to the kit car program, students are encouraged to develop creativity through hands-on experiences.
We are committed to continuously building a thriving arts program — one that welcomes interested students while also ensuring every graduate experiences the value of creative expression through required fine and industrial arts coursework. Through partnerships such as the NC Youth Orchestra and opportunities in performance and production, our high schoolers explore and find joy in the creative process.

Faith Formation
At Ambassador, Christ stands at the center — defining our culture and directing your teen’s journey. Students gather regularly to worship, wrestle with real questions, and walk alongside caring faculty and staff who want to see their faith grow in everyday life. Some teens step onto campus with strong spiritual foundations; others carry thoughtful questions. At ACS, both are welcomed into a community where faith is explored and strengthened.

Chapel
Each week, students come together for chapel, a teen-friendly time of fun, worship and biblical inspiration. Chapel establishes a shared time for students to be reminded that they are uniquely created by God and encouraged to become Ambassadors for Christ in the world.

Lion Tribe
Through a space we call Lion Tribe, students meet in grade and gender-specific small groups with a staff mentor. These gatherings provide opportunities for relationship development, honest dialogue, prayer, encouragement and celebration. In this setting, teens are known personally and supported as they process both life and faith.

Mountain Week
Signature experiences such as Mountain Week carve out intentional time during the school year for our community to unplug and get away together with outdoor adventure, family style meals and fun activities. Through our relational ministry approach, students hear the good news of the Gospel and spend time reflecting with their peers and mentors on what a personal relationship with Jesus means for them.

Biblical Learning Path
Students complete a semester-long Bible course each year, building a steady foundation of biblical understanding that culminates in a senior capstone experience. This intentional progression ensures faith formation develops thoughtfully over time as students prepare for life beyond high school.
Confident in Christ: Mia’s Story
When Mia first walked onto campus, her family hoped she would find a place to belong. What they saw unfold was even more meaningful. Through her growing relationships with mentors, involvement in leadership and service, and daily encouragement in a caring community, Mia discovered her identity anchored in Christ and a growing boldness to use her gifts with purpose.

Service & Leadership
Leadership at Ambassador is cultivated through action. In our school environment, students carry meaningful responsibility as their choices are continuously formed by biblical wisdom.

Campus Life
Daily life on the ACS campus is vibrant and filled with activity. Here, students find places to collaborate, recharge, strengthen their talents, and invest in one another. Here are some of our students’ favorite places:

The Café
A favorite stop for snacks and drinks, giving students a place to connect between classes and throughout the day.
Student Lounge
A comfortable space to study, meet with friends, or take a brain break during Personal Responsibility Time.
Gym & Weight Room
A well-equipped facility where students train and build strength alongside teammates and coaches.
Thursday Culture Block
Culture block weekly brings the opportunity for students and staff to connect through community-wide activities that bring energy and shared identity to campus life. House games, Spirit Week, and friendly competitions like student-teacher basketball, and food-related events encourage relationships across grade levels and build traditions that strengthen school spirit.
Family Involvement
Campus life also includes families. Parents are welcomed as volunteers and partners, serving as athletic boosters, supporting game day tailgates, participating in Moms in Prayer, or helping with lunch deliveries. As families are present and engaged, our students feel the strength of a community that stands behind them.
Events & Traditions
A Strong Start
The school year at Ambassador begins by building connections among students. Welcome to the Den is an event that gives high schoolers the opportunity to meet teachers and begin forming relationships, and Launch Day sets the tone as seniors intentionally welcome underclassmen into the community.
A Year Filled with Energy
Throughout the fall, campus comes alive with Homecoming, Spirit Week, House Games, and weekly culture events that bring students together. The Lion Jamboree in the spring, along with parent-hosted tailgates, creates moments of celebration that unite students and families. Seasonal traditions such as the Thanksgiving Feast and Christmas festivities invite families onto campus and strengthen the sense of shared school life.

Moments That Mark the Journey
Experiences including the Mountain Week provide intentional time for reflection and community. As students enter their senior year, traditions such as Senior Sunrise, Senior Breakfast, Senior Trip, and Senior Brunch honor the journey and celebrate what has been built together, culminating in graduation.
